Ascension Via Christi houses 1,532 beds for both children and adults. Pediatric patients are served by the hospital's child life center, the pediatric intensive care unit, and the new life center for delivery and newborn care. The hospital also offers a Level I trauma center, a burn center, and a cancer unit. Its pediatric outpatient clinics specialize in areas such as cleft palette, newborn care, pediatric dentistry, and pediatric neurology.
