Panda Express & The Coca-Cola Company Give Good Cheer This Holiday Season

Celebrate the season with family and friends at Panda Express and help kids treated at Ascension Via Christi.

Every day of the year, Panda Express guests and associates help kids in South Central and Western Kansas by rounding up their meal purchases at the register at their favorite Panda Express location. This year, from Nov. 25 through Dec. 28, 2019, guests can also help through the Get a Coke & Give Good Cheer initiative. Purchase any Coca-Cola beverage and Panda will donate holiday cheer to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals up to $250,000*.

It’s a great way to inspire hope and spread joy to children and families like sweet baby Griffin this holiday season.  Griffin made his grand debut into the world three months early on June 17th, at a mere 26 weeks gestation. He weighed 2lb 9oz and was 14.5” long. He was instantly admitted to the Ascension Via Christi St. Joseph NICU, where he was on a ventilator for over 50 days and lived inside a Giraffe isolette, until he was extubated and graduated to a Panda warmer. As his lungs grew stronger, Griffin moved into a crib and was able to start bottle feeding. Things slowly progressed, and at the beginning of September, the doctors discovered that Griffin had a hernia that was to be surgically repaired as soon as he was off oxygen. Everything went great, and Griffin was able to go home to Cheney, KS after 115 days in the NICU without any medical devices.

Griffin’s mom, Mallory, shares “Our faith grew tremendously over Griffin’s NICU stay and we thank God for His constant blessings poured unto our family. We are so thankful for the life-saving medical devices the Children’s Miracle Network graciously provided to St. Joseph’s NICU. Without those machines, our sweet baby boy wouldn’t be here with us today.”
