Got game? It’s your time to shine!
Since 2008, Gamers involved in the Extra Life movement have been playing games and healing kids treated at Ascension Via Christi.
On November 2nd, Extra Life, a Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals fundraising program, is hosting their annual game Day broadcast and we want to share how you can get involved:
- Register to play games and help heal kids at extra-life.org/register; select KS – Via Christi Hospitals in Wichita
- Pledge to play games and ask your friends and family to donate.
- You can play whatever game(s) you like for however long you want on whatever console, platform or location.
- Not a gamer but still want to help? Donate to a participant’s page or share about the event on your social media channels.
Find all the resources and best practices you need to make your Extra Life experience the best. When you pledge to play games and heal kids, you’re helping kids like Tyson. He loves football, playing his PlayStation, riding his 4-wheeler and driving remote controlled cars. He has cerebral palsy, epilepsy, asthma and PKU (an amino acid metabolic disorder). He is not able to verbally communicate clearly most of the time, but as a CMN Miracle Kid, our program was able to step in and help with his medications, a communication device, and leg braces. His family’s days aren’t always easy but they’re a little bit better with help from events like Extra Life. On behalf of Tyson and his family, thank you for all your teams are doing.
